Generally, you need to have papers to proof your martial status,
and your identity. |

All weddings ceremonies are conducted in English. You will need
the following original documents to bring with you:

Passport (10 years) |
 |
Birth certificate for both Bride &
Groom |
 |
In case of divorced - decree absolute
|
 |
If widowed, death certificate, and
the previous marriage certificate |
 |
If under 18 year's old, letter of consent
from parents or guardian, stamped by a solicitor |
 |
Anglican Ceremony Baptism Certificate
for at least one of either Bride or Groom |
 |
Catholic Ceremony Baptism Certificates
for both Bride and Groom |
 |
Affidavit for UK passport, must be
obtained from a solicitor |
 |
If not from UK, "A freedom to marry
certificate" from your country's embassy - original document
only. |
 |
Wedding couples must arrive at least
5 working days before the day of wedding. Original papers must
be presented at the town hall. |
